Job Title: Principal Scientist

Job Summary:

hVIVO is seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our scientific leadership, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on the development and implementation of our clinical studies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide study management functions, including input into clinical protocols and analytical plans, compliance with study requirements, and coordination of data analysis and study closeout.
  • Develop and deliver study lead and study management training programs for laboratory operational staff.
  • Provide technical advice and expertise in clinical study design, including the development of study protocols and analytical plans.
  • Manage the study-support processes and delivery from the study-support team.
  • Oversee the initiation of studies and assign resources for the execution of scientific experiments.
  • Make recommendations for assay and clinical model development and influence company scientific strategy in these areas.
  • Attend client meetings and conferences as a technical expert in virology, viral challenge model, and GMP virus.
  • Take responsibility for developing proposals and costing potential internal and external studies.

Requirements:

  • 1st degree in a relevant scientific subject or equivalent.
  • PhD in a relevant scientific subject.
  • Expert knowledge of virology or immunology as it relates to hVIVO's viral challenge model.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of GCP labs and ICHGCP standards.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor others and work as part of a team.
  • Prior experience of project management, providing technical support to senior stakeholders and clients, and line management.
