Principal Scientist - Genomic Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist - Genomic Engineering to join our innovative biotechnology company in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading the cell line development program, generating and enhancing cell lines crucial for producing cultivated fat at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Isolate, engineer, and validate new adipogenic cell lines.
  • Lead a dedicated team to develop and implement automated workflows for mammalian stem cell engineering.
  • Develop cell lines integral to our R&D and manufacturing processes.
  • Manage projects and coordinate workflows involving cell line development and molecular biology.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in molecular biology, synthetic biology, mammalian stem cell biology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in mammalian cell line development and genome engineering.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with molecular biology, cell line engineering tools, molecular cloning, and genetic construct design (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9, Flow Cytometry).
