We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SENCO, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of inclusive education and making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Your Role:As a SENCO, you will be responsible for providing inspiring and purposeful leadership to staff and pupils, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the SEN Development Plan, ensuring our school remains at the forefront of inclusive education.
- Teaching and Learning: Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND, collaborating with teachers to tailor learning activities that meet the individual needs of our pupils.
- Staff Development: Lead the transition to the new SEND Code of Practice, providing training opportunities for teaching assistants, teachers, and other staff to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to support pupils with SEND.
