We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to recruit a locum Team Lawyer to oversee their People function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team covering areas of law to include Children's Social Care, Adult Social Care, Health and Housing
  • Carry a caseload of complex matters, ideally within Adult Social Care, including Court of Protection, welfare applications, ordinary residence disputes and s21A challenges
  • Advise on, prepare and conduct proceedings, act as an advocate for the Council and Court, tribunals, inquiries and other statutory or legislative hearings
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff across the division

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
  • Local Government Experience

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
