The Opportunity: Divisional Clinical Director - Specialist Division
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Divisional Clinical Director to lead our Trust-wide Specialist Division, encompassing Forensic Services, Learning Disability & Autism Services, Early Intervention, Perinatal, and Children & Young People's Mental Health.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical direction of these vital services. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care that meets the evolving needs of our diverse population.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Leadership and Strategy: Provide expert clinical guidance and oversight to the division, ensuring alignment with national mental health policy, Trust objectives, and best practices. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery and promote continuous improvement.
- Partnership Development: Foster strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, commissioners, and community partners. Advocate for the needs of our patients and champion integrated care models.
- Performance Management and Quality Assurance: Monitor service performance, identify areas for enhancement, and implement strategies to drive quality improvement. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Research and Innovation: Encourage and support research initiatives within the division to advance clinical knowledge and contribute to evidence-based practice. Promote innovation and explore new technologies to enhance patient care.
Clinical Role: In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to engage in direct clinical work within the division. The specific nature of this role will be determined based on your expertise and the needs of the service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MRCPsych or equivalent professional qualification at Consultant level
- Extensive experience in a clinical leadership role within mental health services
- Demonstrated expertise in change management and service redesign
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
