Digital Risk Specialist

As a Digital Risk Specialist at Barclays, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the bank's financial stability by assessing, managing, and mitigating liquidity risk. This involves ensuring the bank's ability to meet its short-term financial obligations and access funding at reasonable rates in different market conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive liquidity risk framework, including metrics, forecasting models, liquidity limits, and stress testing scenarios.
- Assess, review, and improve the adequacy and appropriateness of Treasury's strategies to optimize the bank's liquidity position, including managing cash reserves, borrowing facilities, and asset-liability matching.
- Monitor daily liquidity positions, inflows, outflows, and potential funding gaps and report on liquidity risk metrics to senior management and regulators.
- Identify and assess potential sources of liquidity risk, such as market volatility, customer withdrawals, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and test contingency plans to address liquidity shortfalls and market disruptions and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain adequate liquidity levels.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources, including procedures and practices from other areas, teams, companies, etc.
- Previous work experience and knowledge of liquidity risk, balance sheet management, funding, and liquidity in either a first- or second-line capacity.
- Previous work experience on stress testing, limits setting, and management.
- Considerable quantitative background with Excel proficiency.
