Highly Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Role

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Urgent Care Services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop effective treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  2. Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to promote patient-centered care.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies to ensure best practice.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent).
  • Registration and accreditation with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Strong interest in working with Mental Health Urgent Care Services.
  • Experience of working with complex caseloads.
