We are seeking a skilled Technical/Project Engineer to join our Technical Engineering Team, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe design and implementation of various projects while influencing external technical decisions within the sector.

Role Responsibilities

As a Technical/Project Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and securing approval for installation designs and layouts tailored for external clients.
  • Recommending essential tools and equipment for successful installations.
  • Providing expert advice to clients on technical issues, including process safety, product knowledge, storage regulations, and maintenance protocols.
  • Leading incident investigations and initiatives aimed at quality enhancement.
  • Taking a proactive role in managing long-term projects.
  • Conducting liaison meetings with suppliers, clients, and partners.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards, processes, and regulations.
  • Overseeing the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and completing required training.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or progress towards it.
  • A diverse technical background, preferably encompassing mechanical, process, and electrical engineering.
  • In-depth understanding of safety and risk management principles.
  • Experience in managing long-term projects is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable collaborating with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Ability to make prompt, informed decisions, including those that involve significant risks.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to work.
