Key Responsibilities of the Safety and Compliance Specialist:
In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the enhancement of safety protocols, fostering a robust safety culture for all personnel, visitors, and contractors. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all necessary compliance training and procedures are completed, while also collaborating with colleagues to support their initiatives.
Your specific duties will include:
Upholding our core values of empowerment, innovation, and integrity, while consistently demonstrating the associated behaviors. Understanding and actively promoting our code of conduct. Assisting in the onboarding process for new employees by providing training and necessary information. Driving the enhancement of key performance indicators (KPIs) by supplying management with data and action plans for improvement. Taking accountability for the health, safety, and well-being of yourself and your colleagues in alignment with corporate and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures, along with any additional responsibilities that support the achievement of organizational goals.Required Skills and Experience
We are seeking a candidate who:
Has demonstrated experience as a Safety and Compliance Specialist, ideally within the manufacturing sector. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both employees and management. Is capable of developing and implementing health and safety arrangements at all organizational levels. Holds a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or an equivalent qualification. Is preferably trained as an Internal Auditor or is a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).What We Offer
