We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Enforcement Support Officer within our organization. This position offers a dynamic work environment where each day presents new challenges and opportunities to enhance Road Safety and Environmental Standards.
Role Responsibilities
The primary function of this role is to assist enforcement personnel by stopping vehicles, thereby aiding in the enhancement of Road Safety and Environmental Standards. The position involves a 5-week rotating schedule, including early, late, and night shifts, with an attractive allowance for your commitment.
- Facilitating the stopping of vehicles to allow enforcement staff from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to conduct essential road safety inspections.
- Ensuring the availability and operational readiness of equipment and vehicles for roadside checks.
- Providing basic administrative and IT support during inspections and related activities.
- Performing routine maintenance on 'High-Viz' vehicles, including checks on oil, water, and tire conditions.
- Assisting in the management of the check site by confirming the availability of personnel.
- Supporting the Area Management Team in adhering to health and safety regulations.
Candidate Profile

- Capable of managing multiple tasks and enjoying a diverse workload.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to varying environments and the strategic needs of the Agency.
Additional Information
Applicants must possess a full, clean category B driving license and demonstrate high driving standards. Successful candidates will be required to complete a specialized DVSA driving course tailored for Enforcement Support Officers. The role may involve physical demands, including entering and exiting vehicles and prolonged periods of sitting.
Travel may be necessary, including potential overnight stays. Some advertised locations may not have immediate openings, but a Reserve List will be maintained for up to 12 months for future opportunities.
