Road Surfacing Specialist

About the Role
Tarmac is seeking a skilled Road Surfacing Operative to join our team based in the North West of England and North Wales. As a key member of our gang, you will be responsible for laying coated materials in the construction industry, ensuring best-in-class Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various items of plant associated with road surfacing, including pavers, rollers, tractors, and chippers.
- Work with hot coated materials on site and operate plant as required.
- Lay coated materials in accordance with specifications and to BS tolerances.
- Maintain the highest levels of housekeeping and perform day-to-day maintenance of plant.
- Drive a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the road surfacing industry, with experience of working on highways, including motorways, airfields, and A roads.
- CSCS card (preferred).
- Experience in asphalts and road laying.
- Relevant plant tickets and experience operating road surfacing machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and motivation skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Flexibility in working approach.
