Audit and Accounts Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing audits, preparing accounts, and leading a portfolio of clients.

About the Role
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare accounts for a diverse range of clients, including tax computations and financial statements.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management, ensuring effective client relationships and business growth.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, providing expert advice and support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, identifying opportunities for fee development and presenting work to Partners.
  • Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, acting as the main point of contact and delivering clear communications.
  • Provide quotes and estimate fees, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting their learning and development.

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE with demonstrable accountancy practice experience.
  • Strong knowledge of audit and general accounting, with enhanced attention to detail and risk analysis skills.
  • Able to develop enhanced client relationships and integrate themselves into each client's way of working.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivation, and ambition, with a desire to progress and lead a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with commercial awareness and confidence to present work to Partners.
