Levitate Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK-wide firm of accountants to strengthen their teams across multiple offices. The firm is seeking highly motivated Audit & Accounts Seniors with experience working with OMBS and SMEs to discuss career-enhancing opportunities and a diverse portfolio covering various industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver audit/accounts assignments with precision and efficiency
  • Lead complex assignments and supervise junior staff to ensure high-quality work
  • Deliver audit files to assignment managers on time and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Manage client communication effectively and monitor chargeability and assignment budgets
  • Coach staff for improved performance and technical development, and develop specialist sector knowledge
  • Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to the office's training and development programme

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in OMB/SME private company audits, including planning, budget preparation, and risk identification
  • Knowledge of current auditing standards and approaches, including analytical review and sampling techniques
  • Experience preparing audit and accounts files using electronic working paper systems like Caseware
  • Significant prior experience in statutory company accounts preparation under UK GAAP, and also charities and LLPs
  • Experience in preparing and auditing consolidated accounts and component auditor issues
  • Leadership experience, including supervising teams on-site and reviewing their work
  • Experience in preparing budgets and monitoring actual time against budget
