Overview of the Position

We are in search of Senior Clinical Practitioners (SCPs) from diverse professional backgrounds such as nursing, pharmacy, and emergency services. Candidates should possess relevant experience, hold a Master's level qualification or its equivalent, and be enthusiastic about advancing their role in Primary Care.

As a Senior Clinical Practitioner within our Urgent Care Facilities, you will enhance our multi-disciplinary teams' effectiveness by delivering clinical assessments and care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include independent consultations, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and judgment to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients.

This position entails direct patient interactions on a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical teams during operational shifts
  • Perform thorough consultations with patients, including gathering medical history and conducting physical examinations to ascertain potential diagnoses
  • Administer treatments, prescribe medications, or refer patients to specialized services, adhering to established local protocols
  • Provide clinical mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Pharmacist
  • Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or a higher qualification
  • Completion of training in managing minor illnesses
  • Qualification as an independent prescriber
  • Experience or a willingness to enhance skills in minor injuries and pediatric care
  • Allocated Learning and Development time (5% of weekly hours)
