Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Financial Manager to join our team in Bristol. As a Financial Manager for Nuclear Bids, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth agenda for the Nuclear Sector.
The Role:
You will be responsible for providing financial support to bids and growth projects within the Nuclear Sector, ensuring compliance with internal governance policies and procedures and external single source regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a multi-disciplined team to secure single source contracts and deliver against the growth agenda for the Sector.
- Support the Head of Finance as required in strategy, business development, and growth-related activities linking to the Sector 5-year planning process.
- Financial support to bids and other growth projects through provision of advanced financial modelling capability and risk management.
- Preparation and presentation of pricing, financial results, and forecasts, including bid cost forecasts, bid approval packs, budgets, and forecasts.
- Establish, create, and maintain appropriate bid assumptions that are capable of wider review and challenge.
This role is full-time, 35 hours per week, and requires regular travel to Bristol, on a weekly basis, alongside home working arrangements.
Essential Experience:
- Good customer relationship management skills.
- Strong people skills and working in a collaborative environment.
- Experience of working with Bids or in a Bid environment is favourable.
- Ideally, you'll have experience working in a MoD reporting environment.
Qualifications:
- You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent/similar.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
