The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Project Manager to join our team in Bristol, UK. As a Nuclear Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing nuclear projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, risk management, and communication plans.
  • Lead project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed successfully.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders, including project team members, clients, and senior management.
  • Contract management, including claims and variations.
  • Lead and support the preparation of offers and bids.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the British nuclear industry.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the UK nuclear industry, including its stakeholders, key competitors, clients, and regulations.
  • Strong engineering and technical skills in your field of engineering, demonstrated by a minimum of 5 years of proven experience.
  • Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with new technologies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of UK nuclear industry regulations and standards.
  • Experience with project management methodologies, such as 2PMBOK or PRINCE2.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Experience in tender management and bid preparation.
