Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Specialist to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Health and Protection team, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical knowledge and support to our business.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a registered clinical professional to utilize their skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with our claims consultants to ensure that clinical decisions are made in line with standard medical practice and UK health philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key contact for clinical demands from customer-facing staff
  • Work with claims consultants to ensure information is worded and presented in a way that best supports our customers and advisors
  • Protect customers and staff by ensuring that clinical decisions are in line with standard medical practice and UK health philosophy
  • Maintain guidelines and technical awareness, product knowledge, and build relationships with other business areas

Requirements:

  • Hold a clinical qualification (e.g. nursing, physiotherapy, medicine) and currently registered with a professional regulatory body
  • Working at (or the equivalent of) NHS Band 6. acute
  • Strong experience and knowledge of working with acute conditions and comfortable applying clinical knowledge outside of the direct treatment of patients
  • Excellent teamwork skills and confident communication skills
