Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Forklifts and Pallet Trucks: You will be responsible for operating forklifts and pallet trucks to move steel bundles and palletised goods around the warehouse.
- Build Shipping Pallets and Crates: You will build wooden shipping pallets and crates using hand and power tools to ensure efficient packaging and storage.
- Load and Unload Goods: You will load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper checks and referencing paperwork to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Pick and Prepare Orders: You will pick and prepare orders for despatch, collaborating with other warehouse operatives to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Conduct Stock Checks: You will conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory levels and organise the warehouse for efficient operations.
- Organise Paperwork: You will organise and file paperwork, including inventory records and delivery documentation.
- Perform General Cleaning: You will perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Answer Telephones: You will answer telephones and assist with basic administrative tasks, providing excellent customer service to clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Computer Literacy: You will be computer literate and able to use warehouse management software to track inventory and manage orders.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience within a warehouse environment is desired, but not essential. We are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
