Nursery Teaching Assistant Job Description

Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis. The successful candidate will be working in a nursery setting in Islington, supporting the learning and development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote learning.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and provide pastoral support to children when required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's progress and achievements.
  • Assist with the daily routine of the nursery, including setting up and clearing activities.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 3 qualification) is desirable but not essential.
