Head Chef Opportunity at The Nightingale

The Nightingale, a vibrant and welcoming pub in the heart of Bicester, is seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality, driving sales growth, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase fresh, seasonal ingredients and meet customer expectations
  • Lead a high-performing kitchen team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure excellent food quality and guest satisfaction
  • Manage food costs, labour budgets, and inventory to achieve profitability targets
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and high standards of customer care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a premium environment, with a passion for fresh, seasonal cuisine
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurized environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional results
