About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Absolute Taste. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team and work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus and recipes.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, with attention to detail and creativity.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and stock control.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute special events and menus.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and equipped to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and concepts.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end fine dining restaurant or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on creativity, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain high standards in the kitchen.
