About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Neurodiversity Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with neurodiverse difficulties and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support and guidance to families and carers, empowering them to navigate the complex systems and services available to them.
  • Work closely with a range of professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and social workers, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to support.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each individual and family.
  • Provide advocacy and representation for children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected.
  • Collaborate with community groups, parent/carer forums, and statutory services to ensure access to practical and emotional support.
  • Conduct assessments, reviews, and care planning, using evidence-based approaches and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with neurodiverse difficulties and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the role.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
