Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Williams Manufacturing. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production and packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery
  • Perform pre-planned maintenance tasks to prevent downtime
  • Conduct electrical maintenance on 3-phase machinery, drives, motors, sensors, and PLCs
  • Undertake mechanical maintenance tasks, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes
  • Participate in machinery strip-down and rebuild, upgrades, and installation work
  • Perform basic facilities maintenance as required

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained or equivalent in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase electrics
  • Confident in fault-finding on PLCs and other electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
