About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at TevaPharm. As a key member of our Combination Products and Devices R&D team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and life-cycle management of our medical devices.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products are engineered to be reliable and robust, through the application of appropriate design, analysis, and testing. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and maintain departmental operating systems and processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design and development processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop medical devices from concept to commercialization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and directives.
  • Apply Design Controls and Safety Risk Management principles to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our products.
  • Collaborate with our Manufacturing, Science & Technology (MS&T) function to conduct process risk assessments and support the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Lead or support technical design reviews to assess robustness and safety, and contribute to the development of departmental best practice.
  • Support the development and maintenance of departmental operating systems and processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design and development processes.
Requirements
  • Graduate in Engineering, Scientific or other Technical discipline.
  • Experience in the design, manufacture, and life-cycle management of medical devices or combination products from concept to commercialization.
  • Understanding of Design Controls, medical device Safety Risk Management, and European Medical Device Directive/Regulations.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods, including the determination of design input requirements, verification and validation testing.
  • Excellent 3D spatial awareness and visualization of concepts, mechanisms, and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD is desirable.
