Job Title: Director of Education and Quality

Rotunda LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Education and Quality to join our team. As a key member of our educational leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and experiences for our learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of quality education and experiences for our learners, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and Ofsted requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective quality improvement and assurance procedures across the full learner journey.
  • Act as a quality improvement lead across the educational team, taking full responsibility for the performance of the department and associated provision.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and Educational team to develop a robust self-assessment/quality improvement plan and curriculum plan.
  • Provide focused support for curriculum areas identified through the quality assurance process as requiring direct intervention.
  • Ensure that the College's assessment and approval procedures are aligned with awarding organisations regulations.
  • Lead internal quality assurance audits and reviews, identifying key themes for improvement.
  • Support the curriculum planning process and lead on the approval of new provision.
  • Disseminate best practice in terms of Teaching, Learning and Assessment.
  • Work in partnership with the Rotunda team to support the drive to improve learning, teaching and assessment.
  • Deliver training to curriculum and cross college teams as part of Staff Development programme.
  • Liaise with the Compliance Team and awarding organisations to ensure efficient registrations and qualification claims.
  • Ensure all external verifier visits across the College are planned, reports are collected and findings disseminated.
  • Champion the use of e-learning across the college.
  • Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply the College's own safeguarding policy and practices and attend training as requested.
Requirements:
  • Teaching qualification (Cert ed, PGCE, Pttls, Dttls, Cttls)
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
  • Management Qualification
  • Postgraduate Study
  • Experience and knowledge of quality requirements by key awarding bodies.
  • 3 years teaching/assessors experience in a relevant curriculum area.
  • Knowledge of current development in quality assurance in the adult education sector.
  • Experience of the operation of education regulatory and inspection frameworks including Ofsted.
  • Experience of leading and managing change in a management position.
  • Experience of people management policies and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of the EIF and inspection process.
  • Evidence of developing and embedding quality systems, methods of assessment and monitoring.
  • The use of PICs as a management information tool.

  • Emotional resilience with challenging behaviours.
