Position: Engineering Team Leader

Location: Severnside

Contract Type: Permanent, Monday – Friday

Müller has established itself as a beloved brand in the UK for over three decades, recognized for its commitment to quality and innovation in dairy products. We are currently seeking an Engineering Team Leader to oversee operations at our Severnside BlowMoulding facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leading teams within high-volume, intricate manufacturing settings and will thrive on the challenges that accompany such environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate the engineering team through effective leadership, coaching, and development.
  • Manage contractors and maintenance suppliers, conducting performance evaluations.
  • Mentor apprentices within the Eden program.
  • Support the implementation of the Maintenance Excellence roadmap for the site.
  • Ensure adherence to planned maintenance schedules through efficient resource allocation.
  • Provide adequate plant coverage as necessary through strategic resource planning.
  • Analyze CMMS data to facilitate proactive planning and identify equipment improvement opportunities.
  • Fully support end-to-end Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
  • Review maintenance activities and pinpoint opportunities for cost-effectiveness improvements.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and employ problem-solving techniques.
  • Support the site and departmental 5S program.
  • Develop and implement maintenance improvement strategies.
  • Drive and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) activities.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers of specialized machinery and component suppliers to promote standardization and cost-saving opportunities.
