Role Overview: Automotive Technical Trainer

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Automotive Technical Trainer to support the development of technicians throughout their careers in the automotive sector.

This position will involve collaboration with the Technical Training Manager to ensure all training materials are aligned with the competency goals of the retail network. The primary responsibility will be to facilitate training sessions across various markets.

The role may require some travel and will involve the diligent delivery of training courses, contributing to curriculum development, and coordinating activities that enhance the training department's effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive technical training for various levels of technicians, both in-person and virtually.
  • Regularly assess and update training content to maintain relevance and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure that training programs are recognized as the most valuable and sought-after by dealership personnel.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and dealerships to optimize participation in all scheduled training events.
  • Apply contemporary adult learning principles to enhance the effectiveness of training outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes, with dealership operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong understanding of business management principles, including KPI management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a friendly and collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and virtual training platforms.
  • Relevant qualifications in the automotive industry are desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a training role is advantageous.
