Role Summary: The Automotive Support Specialist serves as the primary liaison, ensuring that all technical inquiries and concerns from dealers are addressed effectively. A thorough understanding of automotive products, processes, and relevant legislation is crucial for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to dealer inquiries regarding technical issues, accessories, and vehicle modifications.
- Provide assistance on legal matters and represent the company in court when necessary.
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive technical reference library, focusing on technical data and vehicle modifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to monitor product issue trends and generate reports to support manufacturer investigations and product enhancements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-paced franchise dealership, vehicle manufacturing, or technical service environment.
- Experience with alternative fuel vehicles and a solid understanding of connected car technologies and app integration.
- Relevant qualifications such as BTech or City and Guilds, IMI Automotive Technical certifications.
Skills Required:
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of motor vehicles, supported by both experience and formal qualifications.
- Prior experience in an automotive aftersales department.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and other relevant software tools.
This position offers a structured work schedule of 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, providing a balanced work-life environment.
