We are seeking a Treasurer for Community Links who will also serve as the Chair for our Resources & Risk Assurance Sub-Committee. This committee is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, corporate risk management, internal audits, IT governance, and health and safety protocols.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

Essential Skills:

• Certified Accountant status
• Proven experience in leading strategic meetings
• Ability to analyze proposals and assess their financial consequences
• Capability to assist the CFO in presenting financial analyses clearly and making recommendations to the Board
• Expertise in both internal and external audit processes, risk management, and value assessment
• Strategic mindset with the ability to weigh risks against opportunities
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with fellow trustees and senior management.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience navigating a highly regulated environment with knowledge of the regulatory landscape for registered housing providers
• Familiarity with strategic and compliance issues in IT or health and safety management

Commitment Expectations: Candidates should be prepared to dedicate approximately one day each month for meetings, document reviews, and board retreats. Both the Board and the Resources & Risk Assurance Sub-Committee convene quarterly.

Meetings are conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for participation from trustees across various locations. We only require in-person attendance for two annual board retreats to facilitate personal connections among members. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
