Overview:
The Forensic Accounting & Advisory Services ("FAAS") division is an integral part of the broader Forensic & Litigation Consulting sector, which encompasses our Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Construction Disputes, and Financial Services practices. The FAAS division provides a comprehensive suite of forensic accounting and investigative services to clients globally. Our services include forensic accounting, fraud investigations, regulatory compliance, asset tracing, and financial crime compliance.
The London office of the FAAS division seeks candidates with extensive professional experience to enhance a team consistently recognized as a market leader.
As Managing Directors ("MDs"), you will be client-facing and responsible for generating work, typically leading smaller engagements while serving as the delivery lead on larger projects. You will play a vital role in managing a thriving practice that operates across EMEA, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams as many of our projects involve data analytics, e-discovery, business intelligence, and forensic accounting. You will engage in high-profile investigations, regulatory matters, and litigation, primarily for large corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and managing engagements, interacting with client personnel, FAAS team members, and professionals from other firms involved in the projects.
- Conducting accounting and financial analyses, assisting clients in identifying and documenting complex investigative issues.
- Organizing information to facilitate effective data access and analysis.
- Performing industry and company research using online tools and publicly available information, preparing reports and schedules for clients, and developing productive working relationships with client personnel.
- Applying accounting, financial, and analytical skills to various client situations, including detailed reviews of financial statements and underlying accounting records, while adhering to UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Maintaining comprehensive working paper records that reflect assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information used during analytical tasks.
- Delivering high-quality outputs within established deadlines.
- Preparing draft written analyses and reports for third parties, as necessary, regarding project scope and results.
- In addition to managing new engagements, MDs in the FAAS division will develop go-to-market strategies, collaborating with Senior Management and Business Development Teams to identify and secure potential opportunities, while also managing and growing the wider team.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent international accountancy qualification.
- Significant experience in forensic and/or investigative roles.
- Broad experience across various case types, including financial statement fraud, procurement fraud, asset tracing, money laundering, bribery/corruption, and internal controls reviews.
- Experience leading small engagements or serving as delivery lead on larger projects.
- Extensive career experience in investigations.
- Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Developing a specialization within the forensic accounting sector.
- Proven ability to generate substantial work from established client relationships.
- Robust network of contacts within major law firms and corporate clients.
- Able to manage a range of case sizes, from medium to large multi-jurisdictional cases.
- Advanced analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients in high-pressure situations.
- Experience engaging with board-level stakeholders.
- Strong aptitude for both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Ability to produce well-structured, concise reports with minimal input from others.
- Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment to meet client needs.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally at short notice.
- Experience in providing expert testimony is highly valued.
