Job Title: Principal Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Design Engineer to join our team at Keltbray Infrastructure Services Ltd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design process for railway electrification projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the design process for railway electrification projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of design engineers and technicians, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including construction and commissioning, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain design procedures and processes to ensure quality and environmental compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to design engineers and technicians.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in railway electrification design, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a relevant Engineering Council Approved Body.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to direct technical resources and labour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of railway group and Network Rail company standards, as well as safety, quality, and environmental issues relevant to the railway environment.
