As a Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will work in conjunction with the Paediatric Consultants within the ambulatory unit to provide expert care for patients. You will have the opportunity to develop skills and carry out extended roles that are relevant to the Paediatric Ambulatory Unit.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing expert care for a complex caseload of patients, accepting professional and legal responsibility and accountability for all aspects of own work.
* Developing skills in and carrying out extended roles, including advanced clinical assessment, making referrals to other healthcare professionals, insertion of PICC lines, and performing lumbar punctures.
* Being an active leader within Paediatrics and contributing to strategic planning within the department.
* Contributing to the education of the multi-disciplinary team and departmental research, audit and quality improvement programmes as appropriate.
