Position Overview:
This role is essential for the effective management of waste and recyclable materials. The primary responsibility is to ensure that all vehicles transporting waste or recyclables are accurately weighed upon entry and exit from the facility, with precise documentation of this data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the weighbridge and perform associated administrative tasks, including recording vehicle weights and waste types, while ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
- Efficiently input data from vehicles delivering to or collecting from the site.
- Address inquiries from the public and trade, both in person and via telephone, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor while managing complaints and questions.
- Foster positive relationships with the public, customers, and client representatives, ensuring adherence to Waste Acceptance Criteria at all times.
- Ensure that waste acceptance aligns with Duty of Care and Special Waste Regulations as necessary.
- Perform routine adjustments or alterations to the weighbridge and computer systems when feasible.

Candidate Profile:
- Familiarity with risk assessments and safe working practices, with a commitment to adhering to these standards.
- Proven experience in handling customer complaints and escalating issues appropriately.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Work Schedule:
This position requires a commitment of 4 days per week, which may include 3 or 4 weekdays and every other Saturday.

Compensation:
The salary for this role ranges from £25,000 to £26,000.
