Job Summary

Finsbury Food Group is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain Team, you will be responsible for producing and publishing production plans for the Ultrapharm site, balancing efficient production with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain planning data and system parameters
  • Review demand from customers and adjust production plans accordingly
  • Upload daily customer orders and advise of any concerns over unusual or erroneous order patterns
  • Maintain finished good inventory to achieve customer service levels of 98.5% or better
  • Manage seasonal events in line with business needs
  • Attend regular production review meetings as required
  • Provide data and/or highlight concerns on planning/production parameters
  • Review sequencing of plans to reduce change overs, meet out loading requirements, and balance labour and production resource
  • Work with Material Planners to arrange for delivery of additional material into production departments as required
  • Review and react to changes in customer priorities as required
  • Highlight where minimum production runs of a product exceed forecasted sales volume for the required shelf life
  • Manage delist process of products to ensure minimum stock write-offs

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements
  • Experience of working to set targets and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Desire to improve ways of working, share new ideas, and understand LEAN Manufacturing and continuous improvements
  • PC literate and experienced in using and manipulating spreadsheets
  • Experience in using email and ERP system
  • Confident and able to communicate at levels in the organisation and positively represent Finsbury Food Group to external stakeholders
  • Positive communicator with team members and workers across site at all levels
  • Curious and able to improve ways of working
  • Strong team worker and takes team working seriously
  • Take full ownership of work and complete it successfully with minimal input and involvement from others
