The Role
Tameside Council is seeking a skilled and assertive lawyer specializing in commercial property, local government, or pensions law. This position plays a pivotal role within the UK's largest Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), contributing to the forefront of LGPS reform and advancement.
The responsibilities will encompass intricate legal matters related to the Pension Fund's investment and administration, primarily focusing on sophisticated landlord and tenant commercial property dealings.
About You
This role presents remarkable opportunities for growth within a vibrant and supportive team atmosphere. It is ideal for a qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who aspires to excel as a local government, pensions, or property lawyer in a nurturing environment.
The property portfolios managed exceed £2 billion in assets under management (AUM), involving interactions with senior representatives from major global property firms and their advisors.
This position offers significant flexibility in work patterns, a diverse range of engaging tasks, and the chance to participate in an excellent local government pension scheme. Additionally, there is access to the NHS Car Lease scheme.
