The Role
Tameside Council is seeking a skilled and assertive lawyer specializing in commercial property, local government, or pensions law. This position plays a vital role within the UK's largest Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Fund, contributing to significant reforms and advancements in the sector.
The responsibilities encompass intricate legal matters associated with the Pension Fund's investment and administrative functions, particularly focusing on complex landlord and tenant commercial property dealings.
About You
This role presents an exciting opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere. It is ideal for a qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who aspires to excel as a local government, pensions, or property lawyer in a nurturing environment.
The property portfolios managed exceed £2 billion in assets under management (AUM), and the position involves engaging with senior representatives from major global property firms and their advisors.
The role is based at Tameside Council and offers considerable flexibility in work patterns, a diverse range of engaging tasks, and the chance to participate in an excellent local government pension scheme. Additionally, there is access to the NHS Car Lease scheme.
