Join our dynamic Risk and Compliance team at AXA Group, where we are focused on enhancing our conduct and compliance framework. We are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to offer expert regulatory compliance guidance and technical leadership.

In this pivotal role, you will promote the exchange of best practices and knowledge within the Compliance team. You will assist the Head of Compliance in shaping the strategy and direction of compliance initiatives across AXA Group. Your insights will play a crucial role in influencing business culture and direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Compliance leadership to define the strategy and direction of compliance activities across AXA Group, influencing business culture by providing insights into unacceptable exposure levels.
  • Implement compliance and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures throughout our Retail and Commercial sectors.
  • Participate in relevant AXA Insurance committees, supporting the reporting of compliance and regulatory issues, while providing advice and challenge regarding key regulatory risks.
  • Guide our first line in governance and regulation, ensuring they understand and meet their regulatory obligations, and collaborate with Conduct Risk colleagues on significant AXA Insurance projects.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in managing AXA's relationship with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to regulators.
  • Engage in key industry forums and lobbying efforts to protect and align AXA Group's interests.

Candidate Profile

Desired Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of General Insurance and Financial Services.
  • Extensive experience in regulatory compliance, with a background in legal and/or risk management preferred.
  • Proven track record in a Senior Compliance role.
  • Strong understanding of FCA rules, guidance, and practices, particularly in conduct of business and systems and controls requirements.
  • Experience participating in FCA supervision activities.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead initiatives and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to adhering to defined standards, practices, and timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a prerequisite for this position, candidates must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
