Academic Lecturer in Games Programming and Development

Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Lecturer in Games Programming and Development to join our team at the University for the Creative Arts.
About the Role:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students on our Games Development and Technology courses.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of new and existing curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and industry-focused.
- Engage in research and knowledge exchange activities, collaborating with industry partners to drive innovation and excellence in games development.
- Participate in marketing and student recruitment activities, promoting the University's games programs and showcasing the work of our students.
- Contribute to the development of new learning and teaching methods, ensuring a high-quality student experience.
About You:
- You will have a good honours degree, ideally a postgraduate degree, in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Games Development, or a related area.
- You will have significant industry experience in games development, with a particular focus on Unreal (C++, Blueprints) and Unity (C#) games engines.
- You will have experience of 3D modelling and an understanding of contemporary game development pipeline workflows.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and industry partners.
- You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
