Job Description

FDM Group is a leading business and technology consultancy seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a global scale and contribute to the development of our client's data governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Data Governance Framework: Design, implement, and oversee the data governance framework across the organisation, ensuring data is managed as a strategic asset.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of data protection regulations, particularly the data-sharing components of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Project Management: Ability to review and apply legislative frameworks to processes confidently, prioritise and manage projects with varying degrees of urgency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Experience in working with various departments to implement and continuously improve data policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring data users understand their responsibilities.
  • Training and Development: Developing and conducting training sessions for colleagues to enhance understanding of data governance practices.
  • Technical Skills: Competence in using Microsoft products, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
