Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

This position is part of the Performance and Analytics division, reporting directly to the Senior Manager. The specialist will be tasked with evaluating investment performance metrics, executing comprehensive analyses on performance outcomes, and conveying investment findings to relevant stakeholders. The role involves the development and enhancement of analytical tools to improve reporting processes and optimize existing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily and monthly investment performance assessments
  • Collaborate with investment teams to create precise and pertinent attribution reports aligned with investment strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of portfolio holdings and characteristics for internal marketing, compliance, and third-party data providers.
  • Ensure the accuracy of pricing, classifications, transactions, pledges, and corporate actions related to securities within portfolios.
  • Generate performance and attribution reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of performance and attribution results at the individual security level, across asset classes, regions, and overall portfolio.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Skills

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving, experienced in managing and interpreting large datasets with meticulous attention to detail.
  • In-depth understanding of equity securities, return calculations, and familiarity with various security types across multiple asset classes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data management techniques.
  • Experience in the investment sector

Preferred Skills

  • CFA or CIPM candidate or completion
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL and Python.
  • Familiarity with portfolio accounting and performance software such as Eagle
