We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Director to join our team at KTL. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and implementation of our SHEQ Systems across Ireland and the UK.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership
  • Develop a strong safety culture within the organization, resulting in a safer working environment for all employees.
  • Lead a proactive SHEQ approach, prioritizing and planning for the department.
  • Provide advice, information, direction, policy, and training on SHEQ policy and legislation.
  • Champion best practices and drive behaviors consistent with company policies through proactive engagement with staff.
  • Ensure staff well-being initiatives are part of the H&S plans.
  • Complete and gain sign-off for an annual budget for the SHEQ Department.
  • Plan to cover at a minimum: training and the 4 main safety risks (driving, electricity, working at height, and plant).
Systems Management
  • Develop and assure compliance of the company's H&S, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems, covering at a minimum:
  1. Adherence to ISO Management systems - ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, and 27001.
  2. An effective Corrective Action process.
  3. Evaluation, updating, and development of new and existing SHEQ documentation.
  4. Adherence to the PMO system for calibration and inspection of all equipment.
  5. An appropriate System and Site audit schedule – prioritize, set target rates, and monitor adherence.
Governance
  • Maintain an effective H&S Governance process – regular reviews, maintain records, close out agreed actions.
  • Coach and develop the team of H&S Officers and Advisors to adequately support all Project Leaders.
  • Analyze all SHEQ data and prepare and communicate trends and reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
Training
  • Manage an appropriate, company-wide Training Program –
  1. Prioritize, budget, monitor adherence, evaluate effectiveness.
  2. Align with KTL and Client Values.
  3. Comply with Statutory requirements.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an expert in H&S and ISO systems, able to distill best practices across the company. They will be passionate about delivering SHEQ compliance and able to engage with and influence key stakeholders of the business. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is a results-driven leadership style with a proven ability in process improvement. The successful candidate will be data-driven, a decision-maker, and willing to travel within Ireland and the UK as required. They will be a self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced organization.", "lang_code": "en"}
