We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Director to join our team at KTL. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the effective management and implementation of our SHEQ Systems across Ireland and the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership
- Develop a strong safety culture within the organization, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Lead a proactive SHEQ approach, prioritizing and planning for the department's annual goals.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on SHEQ policy and legislation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Champion best practices and drive behaviors consistent with company policies through proactive engagement with staff.
- Ensure staff well-being initiatives are integrated into H&S plans.
- Manage the annual budget for the SHEQ Department and plan for training and risk management.
- Systems Management
- Develop and assure compliance of our H&S, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems, covering ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, and 27001.
- Implement an effective corrective action process and evaluate, update, and develop new and existing SHEQ documentation.
- Adhere to the PMO system for calibration and inspection of all equipment and maintain an appropriate system and site audit schedule.
- Governance
- Maintain an effective H&S Governance process, including regular reviews, record-keeping, and action closure.
- Coach and develop the team of H&S Officers and Advisors to support Project Leaders.
- Analyze SHEQ data and prepare and communicate trends and reports.
- Training
- Manage a company-wide training program, prioritizing, budgeting, monitoring adherence, evaluating effectiveness, and aligning with KTL and Client Values.
- Expertise in H&S and ISO systems, with the ability to distill best practices across the company.
- Passion for delivering SHEQ compliance and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results-driven leadership with a proven ability in process improvement.
- Data-driven decision-making and a willingness to travel within Ireland and the UK as required.
- A self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
