About the Role
We're seeking a talented Senior UI Designer and Engineer to join our Digital team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing best-in-class User Interface assets and artifacts that follow best practices and are aligned to our design and technology principles, and brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop UI assets using a variety of code, including HTML, CSS, Sass, React, JavaScript.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the business to deliver a variety of changes in multiple Agile workstreams.
- Represent the UI Design and Engineering function while managing own workloads appropriately.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team by providing expertise and advice on your specialist area and contributing to the development and maintenance of our design system.
Requirements
- A real customer focus and desire to deliver engaging and inclusive customer experiences online.
- An eye for detail and being flexible in your approach.
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (or similar), with experience of UI kit creation and maintenance.
- Strong technical skills including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Sass and working knowledge of React for UI engineering.
- Experience of Design System creation and/or maintenance, including working with UI repos, contributing towards process and documentation, awareness of systems, tools, processes, and applications used.
- Working, collaborating and communicating clearly, with a variety of technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders, including presenting design output to these audiences.
- Working in a fast-paced agile environment, managing multiple deadlines, you will need to be able to work as part of a multi-discipline team and on your own initiative.
