We are seeking a talented Senior UI Designer and Engineer to join our Digital team at Skipton Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing best-in-class user interface assets and artifacts that follow best practices and are aligned to our design and technology principles, and brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop UI assets using a variety of code, including HTML, CSS, Sass, React, JavaScript.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the business to deliver a variety of changes in multiple Agile workstreams.
- Represent the UI Design and Engineering function while managing own workloads appropriately.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team by providing expertise and advice on your specialist area and contributing to the development and maintenance of our design system.
- Customer-focused approach with a desire to deliver engaging and inclusive customer experiences online.
- Eye for detail and flexibility in approach.
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (or similar), with experience of UI kit creation and maintenance.
- Strong technical skills including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Sass, and working knowledge of React for UI engineering.
- Experience of Design System creation and/or maintenance, including working with UI repos, contributing towards process and documentation, awareness of systems, tools, processes, and applications used.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment, managing multiple deadlines, and working as part of a multi-discipline team and on your own initiative.
