Role Overview

As a Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in Financial Services at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will collaborate with our esteemed clients to architect cloud solutions leveraging AWS technologies. Your expertise in technology, combined with business insight, will enable you to lead comprehensive discussions about the advantages of the AWS platform and its services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, and senior executives.

You will be immersed in a culture that fosters innovation, utilizing AWS services to assist clients in overcoming business challenges, such as expediting product launches or developing scalable, cost-effective applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide architectural and technical guidance to a diverse portfolio of clients.
  2. Act as the subject matter expert in architectural design decisions.
  3. Ensure clients achieve optimal availability and performance of their applications.
  4. Promote the latest innovations and best practices in infrastructure and application design.

Team Dynamics

The AWS Solutions Architect team encompasses a broad spectrum of technologies, including operational security, infrastructure, DevOps, and machine learning. Our solutions often integrate multiple technologies, and we expect our architects to possess deep knowledge in at least one area while being capable of engaging in discussions across various domains.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., cloud computing, systems engineering, AI/ML, data analytics).
  2. 5+ years in a role as an enterprise/cloud architect, with experience in migration and modernization.
  3. Proficiency in designing complex AI/ML and data analytics solutions.
  4. 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed applications.
  5. 5+ years of experience in core areas such as compute, networking, storage, security, and database architecture.
  6. Professional experience in architecting and operating cloud-based solutions or pre-sales consulting.
  7. AWS Solution Architecture certification or equivalent cloud expertise.
  8. Experience in migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
  9. Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies.
  10. Strong presentation skills with comfort in engaging with executives and technical teams.
  11. Experience with programming or scripting languages.
  12. Able to adapt to new technologies and manage ambiguity effectively.
