About the Role
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Sister/Educator. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop a new combined role, split 50% direct clinical care and 50% education.
Main Responsibilities
The Sister/Educator will support the Department Lead Nurse in the continuing development of staff and work in autonomy as a member of the multi-professional team. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing education programs for Pre-Assessment Nurses and Health Care Assistants
- Providing clinical guidance and support to new and established staff
- Maintaining effective communication with patients, relatives, and staff of all levels
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
- First Level Nurse (RGN) qualification
- Appropriate teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years recent ongoing experience in a related area
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and work autonomously
