Position Summary: We are seeking a Lead Business Risk Manager to enhance our operational integrity and governance framework. This pivotal role offers the right candidate significant exposure across various facets of a dynamic and multifaceted organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to refine and advance internal control protocols, ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Engage with departmental leaders to verify that controls are effectively designed and functioning, maintaining comprehensive documentation to support compliance audits.
- Work alongside senior functional partners to establish and integrate robust controls over financial reporting, compliance, IT, operations, fraud prevention, and non-financial reporting.
Assurance Program Deployment:
- Implement a global annual controls assurance initiative, reporting findings to the Audit and Risk Committee, utilizing a three lines of defense assurance framework.
- Provide second-line assurance regarding the design and operational effectiveness of key controls, including planning and executing control tests.
- Serve as an advocate for internal controls across the organization, offering advisory support and fostering a culture of compliance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Internal Controls, Internal Audit, or Business Assurance is essential.
- Strong understanding of how technology and financial systems can enhance internal control effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to diplomatically implement controls and address identified deficiencies.
- Exceptional project management capabilities.
