About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team at KCA Deutag. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the intercompany accounting process across the Group, including invoicing, quarterly transfer pricing, and reconciliation of the Group month-end intercompany position.
  • Prepare data for quarterly and annual investor reporting packs.
  • Provide ad-hoc accounting advice to Business Units.
  • Prepare and review allocated Blackline Balance Sheet reconciliations and perform Balance Sheet reviews in accordance with month-end timetables.
  • Prepare allocated UK subsidiary statutory accounts in accordance with timetables, including IXBRL tagging and tax analysis.
  • Approve HSBC bank payments adhering to all relevant treasury policies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute specific projects defined within the Corporate Accounting team objectives.
  • Support and/or deliver specific ad-hoc projects in terms of research or improvement projects linked to the development of the Corporate Accounting function.
  • Manage workload between recurring monthly/quarterly work and ad-hoc project work.
  • Ensure the Group's financial reporting complies with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and the Group's Finance Worldwide Standard and procedures, with all reports prepared in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant – CA, ACCA, or CIMA standard.
  • Technical accounting knowledge - IFRS essential.
  • Understanding of UK corporation tax reporting requirements essential.
