Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a key member of the pharmacy clinical trials team, providing high-quality dispensary and production services to support the delivery of clinical trials across all sites at UCLH.

  • Plan and Participate in Risk Assessment: Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate risks associated with clinical trials, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and systems.
  • Feasibility Assessment and Communication: Participate in clinical trial feasibility assessment meetings, providing feedback on safety, capacity, and capability to support informed decision-making.
  • Operational and Dispensary Functions: Support the day-to-day smooth running of the operational and dispensary functions of the pharmacy clinical trials team, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Mentoring and Development: Support the mentoring and development of the clinical trial technical team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
  • Progress Monitoring and Escalation: Monitor the progress of clinical trials in setup or undergoing amendment, escalating as needed to maintain agreement timeframes and ensure timely delivery.
  • Advice and Escalation: Provide advice to the wider research community as required, escalating to senior pharmacists when necessary to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
  • Service Development: Participate in the management and development of the pharmacy clinical trial service at UCLH, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
