Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager role at Gleeson Development Ltd is a critical position responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing operations. This includes establishing and maintaining payroll processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and collaborating with the Head of Reward & Systems to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll data.
- Develop and motivate the Payroll team, focusing on recruitment, development, and engagement to achieve high performance standards.
- Monitor and implement payroll-related changes, effectively communicating with stakeholders and ensuring minimal disruption to employees.
- Regularly review and improve payroll systems, policies, and processes to ensure ease of processing and compliance.
- Provide accurate and quality reports, data, and analysis to internal departments, supporting informed decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A recognized payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in managing and leading effective payroll processes at all levels.
- Strong pension knowledge and experience.
- Ability to develop and adhere to best practice payroll processes and controls.
- Experience managing a payroll function.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
